This statement comes from former PMDB congressman Arthur Maia, who is coordinating the creation of the Solidarity party in Bahia with the future state president, also a congressman, Marcos Medrado (formerly of the PDT); Arthur participated in a meeting of the new party's leaders and the Minister of Institutional Relations, Ideli Salvatti; "The meeting served to make clear the majority's desire to support President Dilma and the vice-president, my friend Michel Temer," said Arthur Maia.

Despite the fact that the founder of the Solidarity Party, Congressman Paulinho da Força, considered President Dilma Rousseff an "enemy," there is a strong tendency for the party to debut in Congress as part of the government's support base.

The information is confirmed once again by one of the coordinators of the Solidarity party in Bahia, the former PMDB congressman Arthur Maia. He participated last night in a meeting of the party's leaders with the Minister of Institutional Relations of the Presidency, Ideli Salvatti.

"The meeting served to make clear the majority's desire to support President Dilma and Vice President, my friend Michel Temer, and also expressed our position in Bahia. Our platform will be that which supports Dilma. I have always supported the government and received reciprocal treatment, with the demands of our municipalities being met," said Arthur Maia, a declared enthusiast of supporting the government.

He left the PMDB because he disagreed with the stance of the party led by the Vieira Lima brothers in opposing the government of Jaques Wagner. And if it depends on the future president of Solidariedade in Bahia, deputy Marcos Medrado, formerly of the PDT, Dilma and Wagner will have the unrestricted support of the new party.

More than 20 federal deputies participated in the meeting with Minister Ideli yesterday. Solidarity could emerge with up to 30 parliamentarians in the Federal Chamber.
