Tocantins 247 - The mobilization organized by the Union of Public Servants in the State of Tocantins (SISEPETO) to demand the payment of the salary adjustment for state public servants gained momentum this week. Dozens of billboards were placed throughout the main areas of Palmas with the aim of reinforcing that the adjustment is only a replacement for salary losses incurred due to inflation.

“The database expired on May 1st and so far there has been no concrete proposal for payment, neither for retroactive payments from last year nor for this year's database. Sisepe will not stand idly by. We are doing our part, mobilizing the category and demanding what is simply a right guaranteed by law,” emphasized the president of Sisepe, Cleiton Pinheiro, to Cleber Toledo. “If the Government does not take any action to fulfill the rights of the civil servants, the general strike will become a reality starting on August 9th.”

On another mobilization front, since July 13th, Sisepe-TO has been traveling to the main cities in the interior of the state to meet with public servants. "It's an opportunity to report to colleagues on the status of negotiations with the Government and also to clarify any doubts about the strike," he stated.

The Union is also reinforcing the call for the Extraordinary General Assembly scheduled for August 05th, which will ratify the decision to strike.
