Sisepe will hold a protest this Friday demanding promotions.

State employees in the General Staff will protest this Friday, the 17th, against the state government, demanding payment of overdue salary increases. According to the Union of State Public Servants (Sisepe-TO), which is organizing the demonstration, 6.199 employees are being harmed by the non-payment of these increases. Sisepe, presided over by Cleiton Pinheiro, advocates for the payment of all due increases in four installments, starting with the April payroll. The protest will take place after the deadline given by the union to the government to resolve the issue. Tocantins 247 - Public servants from the General Staff of the State will hold a protest this Friday, the 17th, against the State government, demanding payment of overdue salary increases.

According to the Union of State Public Servants (Sisepe-TO), which is organizing the demonstration, the public servants are dissatisfied with the way the Government has been conducting the negotiation. The union states that 6.199 public servants are being directly harmed by the non-payment of promotions, and that in the specific case of promotions that were to be implemented in 2015, the number of affected public servants is 4.094 people.

The decision to hold the protest on the 17th was made by the public servants themselves during an Extraordinary General Assembly held on March 28th. The Union summoned the public servants so that they could decide on the following proposal formulated by the Government: to pay the retroactive amounts for delayed promotions in up to 08 installments for those earning above 04 minimum wages and in 04 installments for those earning up to 04 minimum wages, with financial effect starting in May of this year. Regarding the promotions that should have been implemented in 2015, the Administration Secretariat stated that no promotions will be implemented in 2015.

Sisepe argues that all due salary increases should be paid in four installments, starting with the April payroll, which is paid in May. The union's counterproposal was filed with the Secretariat of Administration on March 30th. In it, Sisepe informed the Government about all the decisions of the General Assembly and established a 15-day deadline, as approved by the category. The deadline expired on April 14th, and so far, according to Sisepe, the Government has neither responded nor met with the Union to discuss the matter.

The president of SISEPE-TO also emphasized that the Union had been trying to negotiate with the Government since January. "We tried to negotiate in every way. We met with the secretaries, we met with Governor Marcelo Miranda, we pursued dialogue. However, the Government is not taking a position, it is not demonstrating the political will to solve the problem," complained Pinheiro.

The Secretary of Administration, Geferson de Oliveira Barros, is scheduled to meet with Sisepe on Friday at 10:30 AM. However, according to Cleiton Pinheiro, the protest is still on. (With information from Sisepe)
