Palito also highlighted the continuity of projects and programs. "I will learn more about the projects that are being developed. Replacing Agimiro is very difficult, firstly, because of the person he is and the work he has done. But, on the other hand, it's easy because I'm taking over a consolidated department with everything working," he said.
Siqueira Campos praised the contributions of former secretaries Café and Agimiro. "We went from approximately 50 hectares to over 800 hectares of cultivated areas. Regarding the area of activity of SETAS (Secretariat of Labor, Social Assistance and Labor), Siqueira Campos emphasized the implementation of important projects. "In the area of Labor and Social Assistance, Agimiro accomplished more than many could. He sought understanding between employers' associations and workers," he assessed.
Assessment. Café assessed Seagro's actions, highlighting projects such as irrigation and the program for transferring agricultural machinery to family farming. "In three years we increased our grain production by more than 60%; in three years we almost doubled our meat production; in three years we even doubled our forestry production. In 2010, Agrotins generated around R$ 56 million in business. In 2013, almost half a billion reais were generated," said the former secretary.
Agimiro recalled the projects developed by Setas, such as the cards for the Tocantins without Hunger and Tocantins without Poverty programs, in addition to strengthening the solidarity economy in the State. "Today we are serving more than 25 families with the Tocantins without Hunger cards. With the Pioneiros Mirins program, we have made very strong progress and we are doing this together with Education so that children can go to Full-Time Education," he said.
The ceremony for the inauguration of Marzola and Palito as State Secretaries was attended by Federal Deputy Professor Dorinha (DEM), State Deputy Osires Damaso (DEM), as well as State Secretaries and employees from the Secretariats of Agriculture and Livestock and of Labor and Social Assistance.
