247 - The building manager, Cléber Rosa de Oliveira, 49, confessed to the Civil Police the murder of real estate agent Daiane Alves Souza, 43, who disappeared on December 17, 2025, in Caldas Novas, southern Goiás. According to the investigation, it was the suspect himself who led the police to a wooded area where the victim's body was found, already in an advanced state of decomposition. This information was originally released by [source name missing]. Metropolises.

Cléber is being held on suspicion of homicide and has begun cooperating with authorities during questioning. According to his testimony, he stated that he killed Daiane after a heated argument in the basement of the building where they both were, on the night of December 17th, the date on which the real estate agent was last seen.

He stated that he acted alone and that, after the crime, he placed the body in the back of his pickup truck and left the condominium. The version presented by the building manager contradicts his initial statement to the police. Initially, Cléber had claimed that he did not leave the building that night. However, security camera footage analyzed by investigators shows the building manager leaving the condominium around 20 pm, driving the vehicle mentioned in his confession.

According to the Civil Police, the building manager's son, Maykon Douglas de Oliveira, was also arrested, suspected of involvement in the crime. The doorman of the building where Daiane lived and worked managing apartments for the building manager's family was taken into custody for questioning.

The investigation is determining the degree of involvement of each person in the case. Daiane disappeared after going down to the building's basement to check on a power outage in her apartment. Security cameras recorded the real estate agent entering the elevator and talking to the doorman about the problem. Then, there is a gap of about two minutes in the recordings, precisely when she returns to the basement. There are no images showing the victim leaving the building or returning to her apartment.

Another point considered relevant by investigators is that Daiane had a habit of filming her movements with her cell phone and sending the videos to a friend. One of these recordings, made in the building's basement, was never located or handed over to the authorities.

On the day of her disappearance, the real estate agent was wearing simple clothes, left her apartment door unlocked, and took no personal belongings. She had a trip planned to Uberlândia, in Minas Gerais, during the Christmas period, but she did not board the plane and did not contact her family after that morning, which reinforced suspicions from the beginning of the case.

The Civil Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crime, analyzing technical evidence, images, and testimonies to fully clarify the dynamics of the homicide and the possible involvement of other people.
