Tocantins 247 - Representatives of state public servants in the Executive Branch are at the Araguaia Palace this Monday morning, the 1st, and promise to remain there until Governor Marcelo Miranda (PMDB) receives them to discuss the payment of the Executive Branch's base salary adjustment.
The government leader, Deputy Paulo Mourão (PT), contacted the union leaders and is expected to meet with the group.
The decision was made at the last joint meeting held between the Military Unions and Associations on May 28th. The entities do not agree with any other proposal for the base date other than the full payment of the 8.3407% index, in a single installment and on the May payroll, as provided for in current legislation.
The state government presented the category with a proposal to pay 1% on the May payroll, paid in June, and 3,3407% and 4% in January and May 2016, respectively, totaling 8,3407%. The proposal was rejected by the unions.
According to the presidents of the Unions and Associations, the entities have been trying, at all costs, to conduct the negotiation through dialogue. "However, the State Government seems deaf to our appeals. It is unacceptable to think that a governor who claims to be democratic and a defender of public servants cannot even schedule a meeting with the entities that represent the public servants," they stated in a joint note released on the 29th.
Ao Tocantins 247The Secretariat of Social Communication (Secom) informed that Governor Marcelo Miranda is meeting with administration teams and carrying out internal work, such as official business, in his office. Only after finishing these activities will the reception for the unions be analyzed.
The organizations will also hold a large protest next Tuesday, the 02nd, in defense of the payment of the base salary adjustment. State public servants from all agencies will gather in front of the Araguaia Palace to demand payment and to ensure compliance with public servant rights.
