Country music shows liven up New Year's Eve at Civic Square

Goiás247_  The New Year's Eve celebration at Praça Cívica is expected to gather around 50 people. This is the expectation of the event coordinator, Olier Alves. “We are expecting 50 people at Praça Cívica, but all of Goiânia can participate in the New Year's Eve celebration by watching the grand fireworks display from home, which will take over the city for about 10 minutes. There will be 14 fireworks launch points. We chose locations in all regions of the capital,” explains Olier.

This year, the traditional popular festival will be enlivened by ten regional acts and two national ones: singer Gusttavo Lima and the duo Guilherme and Santiago, who will be together on stage to headline the New Year's Eve Show. The organizers expect 50 people to attend the event.

Two stages with LED screens will be set up in the square to host Pádua, Maria Eugênia, Maíra, Filé Carioca, Pedro Santos, Grace Carvalho, Banda Kalunga, Túnel do Tempo, Grupo Elas, and Almir Pessoa. At midnight, there will be a simultaneous fireworks display at 14 locations in the capital for approximately 15 minutes. In the Civic Square, the public will enjoy a pyromusical show, with the fireworks following the rhythm of orchestrated music.

For the comfort of the public, 220 portable toilets will be set up, and the sale of drinks and food will take place in the outer ring of the Civic Square. The inner space, where the public will gather to watch the shows, will be enclosed with metal fencing, forming an event arena. Access to the arena will be through four gates, where there will be controls to prevent the entry of bottled beverages. Two thousand chairs will be placed in a specific area for people with disabilities, pregnant women, and the elderly.

The security plan for New Year's Eve in the square will include 300 military police officers; 40 firefighters; 100 private security guards, 20 of whom will have guard dogs; 12 police vehicles; three fire department vehicles; two fire department rescue ambulances; and four private ambulances, one of which is a mobile ICU unit.
