Tocantins 247 - The State Secretariat for Regional Urban Development and Housing (Sedruh) began this Monday, the 11th, the housing registration of state public servants in the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program. Through the partnership between the state Executive, through Sedruh, and the federal government, initially, 392 families of public servants will be included in the program, with apartments in Block Arne 61, in Palmas.
The program was announced by Governor Marcelo Miranda (PMDB) and the Minister of Cities, Gilberto Kassab, on May 5th.
State public employees (permanent, temporary, and retired) will have priority in this first phase of the program, which will later be expanded to other municipal and federal public employees. Furthermore, the State Government is already seeking partnerships to extend the program to other municipalities.
Civil servants interested in participating in the program should go to the Sedruh headquarters in Palmas, from 8 am to 18 pm, without interruption. To assemble the dossier, the civil servant must present their ID, CPF (Brazilian tax identification number), birth certificate, proof of address and income, and a certificate of no property ownership. If married, they must also present these same documents for their spouse and their birth certificate. It is worth noting that only people without financial restrictions and with an income of up to six minimum wages can benefit from the program.
According to the Undersecretary of Sedruh, Rogério Spielmann, registration will remain open until all units are filled. "It is important that any employee who wishes to benefit registers as soon as possible, as only the first 392 people whose registration is approved by the Caixa Econômica Federal banking correspondent will be eligible," he explained.
The apartments will have an area of 61,47 m², with two bedrooms, one of which is a suite. The property will cost the civil servant R$ 133.150,00, while in the real estate market a property with the same conditions costs around R$ 170.000,00. In addition to the lower price of the property, the Program will offer good payment conditions such as lower interest rates and subsidies. The financing requires a down payment of at least 10%, which may vary according to income, and up to 30 years to pay off the debt. During the construction period, the buyer only pays the amortization of the interest.
Maria das Graças da Silva, a civil servant at the Health Department, was one of the first to register, as she had long awaited an opportunity to acquire a property. “I’ve been a civil servant in the state for 20 years, and my income has never been enough to buy a home. I believe that with this program I will finally be able to stop renting,” she commented.
Nursing technician Jackeline Aline Modesto Silva works at Dona Regina Hospital in downtown Palmas and lives in Taquaralto. For her, this will be an opportunity to live closer to her workplace. “Both my husband and I work here downtown, and it would be much better to live closer to work. With the payment conditions of the program, I believe it will be easier to achieve this goal,” she emphasized.
