Sergipe will have five candidates for governor.

With the official registration of candidacies last Saturday (5), the number of candidates for governor in the State was surprising; in addition to Jackson Barreto (PMDB), Eduardo Amorim (PSC) and Sônia Meire (PSOL), Airton Costa Santos, Airton da CGTB, from PPL, and Alberto dos Santos, Betinho, from PTN, also registered for the dispute at the Regional Electoral Court; the two candidacies are totally independent, without coalitions or proportional candidates.

Valter Lima, from Sergipe 247 - With the official registration of candidacies last Saturday (5), the number of candidates for governor in the State was surprising. In addition to Jackson Barreto (PMDB), Eduardo Amorim (PSC) and Sônia Meire (PSOL), Airton Costa Santos, Airton da CGTB, from PPL, and Alberto dos Santos, Betinho, from PTN, also registered for the dispute at the Regional Electoral Court. The two parties are tiny, with very little time in electoral propaganda and without national expression. The two candidacies are totally independent, without coalitions or proportional candidates.

Candidate Airton from CGTB is a hairdresser and barber, is single, and informed the Regional Electoral Court (TRE) that his campaign could cost up to R$ 20 million. This amount is double that reported by the two main candidates for governor. Airton's running mate is public servant José Vieira. Betinho, on the other hand, is a businessman, is married, and has not yet stated how much he will spend on his campaign. In his registration, he stated that he owns a house valued at R$ 1 million. His running mate is Sergeant Wellington.
