'God willing,' Campos' program will reach the country.

In seven years, the Pact for Life reduced the number of homicides in Pernambuco by 40%, with a 60% decrease in rates in the capital, Recife. In the United States, the initiative won an award in the Safe Government category: Best Practices in Crime and Violence Prevention. Since receiving the award, the administrator has been promoting the program on Facebook, stating that he intends to expand the program throughout the country, starting with a discussion held through the social network itself.
