Saulo Castro will take over as Chief of Staff for Alckmin.

The current Secretary of Logistics and Transportation will replace Edson Aparecido, who is cited in the investigation into cartel activity in train and subway contracts in the state; Saulo de Castro previously served as head of Public Security for São Paulo in 2002.

247 - The governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB), has already chosen the new head of the Civil House. The current Secretary of Logistics and Transport, Saulo de Castro, will replace Edson Aparecido in the Civil House. He previously served as head of Public Security for São Paulo in 2002.

In testimony given during investigations into the cartel scheme involving train and subway contracts set up during the PSDB (Brazilian Social Democracy Party) governments in the state, former Siemens executive Everton Rheinheimer indicated that Edson Aparecido and two other secretaries of Alckmin received bribes.

According to DashboardAccording to Folha de S. Paulo, Alckmin has praised Castro's management. The governor's assessment is that Castro "delivers" projects, which doesn't happen in other departments. The duplication of the Tamoios highway is cited as an example.
