São Paulo experiences looting and buses set on fire.
Acts of vandalism were reported after the game that eliminated Brazil from the World Cup; in the eastern part of São Paulo, a bus was set on fire and a Ponto Frio store was looted; a group of people also set fire to garbage and furniture, blocking the Jacu-Pêssego avenue in the Itaquera region; in the southern part of the city, another bus was burned.
247 - After the crushing defeat of the Brazilian National Team to Germany in the World Cup semi-final game this Tuesday (8), the city of São Paulo registered a looting at an appliance store and two buses set on fire.
The first incident was a bus fire on Planalto dos Acantilados street, in the Sapopemba region, in the eastern part of the city. In São Mateus, also in the eastern zone, a Ponto Frio store was looted. According to the Military Police, no one was arrested in the incident.
Nearby, a group of people set fire to trash and furniture, blocking the lane of Jacu-Pêssego Avenue, in the direction of Mauá, in the Itaquera region. In Vila Constança, in the southern zone, another bus was set on fire around 19 pm.
