Agreement reached for the purchase of garbage trucks.

Mayor Paulo Garcia and Secretary José Carlos Siqueira signed an agreement that provides for the transfer of more than R$ 5,8 million from the State to the municipality for the acquisition of 23 garbage compactor trucks with a minimum capacity of 15m³ and a total gross weight of 16.000kg; half of this amount should be deposited to the municipality this Tuesday (17) and the remainder after 60 days; City Hall will contribute R$ 200 thousand.

247 - The mayor of Goiânia, Paulo Garcia, and the chief secretary of the Civil House, José Carlos Siqueira, signed this Monday an agreement between the City of Goiânia and the State government that provides for the transfer of more than R$ 5,8 million for the acquisition of garbage compactor trucks. All the documentation was completed on Thursday (26), on the part of the city hall, and the payment of the first installment, of 50%, should be made this Tuesday (1st).

"The signing of this agreement demonstrates institutional maturity between the State government and the City Hall of Goiânia, which, regardless of partisan issues, seek to meet social needs and solve the problems of the capital," said Mayor Paulo Garcia at the time of signing, along with the Chief of Staff, José Carlos Siqueira.

According to the agreement, the government of Goiás will grant financial aid to the municipality in the amount of R$ 5.668.450,00, and the municipality will contribute another R$ 200. The funds will be used to purchase 23 garbage collection and compaction trucks, with a minimum capacity of 15m³ and a total gross weight of 16.000kg. Half of this amount will be deposited to the municipality this Tuesday, and the remainder after 60 days.
