Rovai: Jaques Wagner starts to take action as Plan B

"If Lula can't be a candidate, Jaques Wagner will accept the nomination. He is the preferred candidate of the PT leadership and was the only one approached by Lula for the role when threats of the former president's ineligibility arose," says journalist Renato Rovai.

By Renato Rovai - The governor of Bahia, Rui Costa, gave an interview to O Estado de S. Paulo this Thursday (19) stating that he considers that the PT should give up the top spot on the ticket in favor of a candidate from another party. The name in question would be that of Josué Alencar, son of Lula's former vice-president.

Any woman from Bahia who sells acarajé in the backstreets of Pelourinho knows that Rui and Wagner speak for each other. Wagner is said to have already told this to the president of the PR party, Waldemar Costa Neto. Who laughed his head off and asked for a notarized document. But who at the same time understood the message. If Lula can't be a candidate, Jaques Wagner will accept being one. He is the preferred candidate of the PT leadership and was the only one approached by Lula for the mission when threats of the former president's ineligibility arose.
