The rapporteur at the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) and brother of Miranda's lawyer declares himself ineligible to vote.

The rapporteur for the appeal at the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) concerning the candidacy for governor of Marcelo Miranda, from the coalition "Experience Makes the Change," Minister Henrique Neves, declared himself ineligible to judge the case this Wednesday, the 3rd. The minister revealed his ineligibility by stating that upon consulting the process, he verified that, among other facts, the candidate's ineligibility is being discussed based on the judgment of two processes (RCED nº 698 and RO nº 602-83), in which the minister's brother, Fernando Neves, acted as lawyer.

Tocantins 247 - In a ruling issued Wednesday night, the 3rd, the rapporteur of the Ordinary Appeal (RO 20837) at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Minister Henrique Neves, declared himself ineligible to judge the case concerning the candidacy for governor of Marcelo Miranda, representing the coalition "Experience Makes the Change".

In a concise statement, the minister revealed his bias by stating that upon reviewing the case file, he found that, among other things, the candidate's ineligibility was being discussed based on the judgment of two cases (RCED No. 698 and RO No. 602-83), in which the minister's brother, Fernando Neves, acted as his lawyer.

"Therefore, even though this is not a case of disqualification, since there is no specific legal representation in this matter, I declare my bias," the minister wrote. With this, the case will be reassigned to another judge.
