Bahia 247 - Federal deputy from Bahia, Benito Gama, met yesterday (25) with the members of his party, PTB, to discuss the political reform proposal that is being processed in Congress and is about to be considered in the Federal Chamber. A member of the Special Committee on Political Reform, Benito says there is consensus on two issues: the end of reelection for the positions of President of the Republic, Governor and Mayor, and on the coincidence of terms.

Benito Gama presented the work plan that will be carried out by the commission. "We will hold hearings and seminars to discuss the electoral system, campaign financing, changes in the term of office, electoral conduct, party affiliation, and other political issues."

Given the importance of the subject, the party decided to hold a series of debates on the topic. The Special Committee on Political Reform in the Chamber of Deputies was established earlier this month.
