Security Enhancement
The State Government announced the hiring of nearly two thousand police officers who passed the competitive exam; a bill to be sent to the Legislative Assembly will increase the amount received during overtime hours.
Raphael Coutinho _PE247 - The Government of Pernambuco announced this Friday (6) an investment package in the area of public security, through the Pact for Life program. The actions aim, according to the government, to value and operationalize the professionals who serve the area. Among them is the call for new police officers approved in the competition and an increase in the amount received by the portion of the category that performs extra hours.
“These measures value those who are in the various police institutions in the state and bring more people to fight with us for public safety,” highlighted Governor Eduardo Campos. The Secretary of Social Defense, Wilson Damázio, explained that the benefits will reach more than 29 security professionals. “We will strengthen the institutions by always valuing our police force. It is a reinforcement that will inevitably be felt by the population, because what we want is to continue advancing and achieve the 12% target by the end of the year,” he assured.
The bill that increases the amounts for the Extra Work Program (PJE), specifically for operational teams, will be sent to the Legislative Assembly next week. The amount paid to police officers will be R$ 120 per shift. Delegates and civil police officers will receive R$ 270. Agents and clerks will receive an extra R$ 180.
A decree signed this Friday mandated the immediate appointment of 50 forensic doctors to join the Scientific Police force. Those selected will work in the new complex being built to reinforce the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML). The Military Police will also receive 1.612 new soldiers, approved in the last public competition. In September, 100 vacancies will open for Military Police officers and 20 for the Fire Department.
