Helicopter crash leaves one dead in São Paulo.
The aircraft departed from Campo de Marte with three people on board and crashed into a house in the Jaraguá region, in the western part of the capital; two people were injured but were rescued conscious.
247 – A helicopter crashed in the Jaraguá region, in the western part of São Paulo, leaving one person dead and two injured. The aircraft, belonging to the company L Marte, departed from Campo de Marte, in the northern part of the city, with three people on board. There was a fuel leak, and firefighters isolated the area to wash the site and prevent an explosion.
The accident happened around 12:30 PM near Estrada de Taipas, where the helicopter crashed mostly into a house located on Rua Paulo Arentino. The two injured people were conscious when rescued, and one of them was airlifted by the Águia helicopter of the Military Police. The cause of the crash is still unknown, as is whether anyone was inside the house.
