PT will use Minas Gerais to attack Aécio's candidacy.

The national president of the PT (Workers' Party), Rui Falcão, said that the party will use Minas Gerais as the main theme to deconstruct the image that the PSDB (Brazilian Social Democracy Party) members are good administrators; "It is necessary not only to present the proposals, but also to diagnose the myth of good governance proclaimed by our opponent (Aécio Neves, of the PSDB)," stated Falcão; in Minas Gerais, the second largest electoral college in the country, presidential candidate Aécio Neves, who governed the state for eight years, lost to President Dilma Rousseff by 43,48% to 39,75%.

Mines 247 – The national president of the PT, Rui Falcão, said, this Wednesday (8), that the party will use Minas Gerais as the main theme to deconstruct the image that the PSDB members are good managers. Opponent of President Dilma Rousseff (PT) in the second round, Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB) governed the state for almost eight years.

"It is necessary not only to present the proposals, but also to diagnose the myth of good governance proclaimed by our opponent (Aécio Neves, of the PSDB)," said Falcão, after a meeting of the party's national executive committee in Brasília.

In Minas Gerais, the country's second-largest electoral college, Aécio lost to President Dilma by 43,48% to 39,75%. The PSDB was also defeated in the state election. Former minister Fernando Pimentel (PT) received 52% of the valid votes against 41,89% for the PSDB candidate, Pimenta da Veiga.

"We will demonstrate the performance of the PSDB (Brazilian Social Democracy Party) administration in Minas Gerais and elsewhere to demolish this sophistry that they are good administrators," said Falcão.

The PT leadership intends to exploit the positions of the vice-presidential candidate on the PSDB ticket, Senator Aloysio Nunes Ferreira (PSDB-SP), who voted against the bill to establish racial and social quotas in public universities.
