The Workers' Party (PT) wants engaged activists throughout the country.

The party will invest heavily in mobilizing its grassroots members to guarantee the re-election of President Dilma Rousseff and other candidates in the states and the Federal District; this decision was one of the main guiding principles of the meeting held this morning in Brasília between the party president, Rui Falcão, and the campaign coordinators. "Radio and TV time will never replace the action of our grassroots members. In all the PT's major elections, it was our activists who, on the ground, made the difference in our favor. It is political confrontation that stimulates them," stated the PT leader in the Senate, Humberto Costa.

Pernambuco 247 - The PT will invest heavily in mobilizing the strength of its militants to guarantee the re-election of President Dilma Rousseff and the other party candidates in the States and the Federal District. The decision was one of the main guiding principles of the meeting held on Tuesday morning (8), in Brasília, with the party president, Rui Falcão, and the campaign coordinators, among them, the PT leader in the Senate, Humberto Costa (PE).

"Radio and TV time will never replace the action of our activists. In all the PT's major elections, it was our activists who, on the ground, made the difference in our favor. It is political confrontation that stimulates it," said Humberto. The party believes that mobilization, in addition to helping the president and other candidates for state governments, could create a broader and more consistent parliamentary base for Dilma's second term.

Composed of the PT, PMDB, and seven other parties, the "With the Strength of the People" coalition, formed around the name of Dilma Rousseff, has already registered its minimum government program, which will now be further developed by allied parties and sectoral groups. The coordination is also focused on sensitive issues such as the production of election broadcasts and campaign materials, and the rules of electoral legislation.

The materials produced will showcase all the progress achieved by Brazil and Brazilians during the 12 years of Lula and Dilma's governments. The campaign should also combat the depoliticization of society, warning of the risks this poses to democracy.

"For Brazil to continue changing, our campaign will be proactive and will focus on four crucial pillars for a new historical cycle in our country: political, urban, federal, and public service reforms. We will debate these issues with the population because they are fundamental to our future," said the congressman.
