PT and allies inaugurate Dilma's campaign headquarters in Goiânia.
The political office is located on Avenida Anhanguera, opposite Lago das Rosas and Teatro Inacabado; the event will not include the participation of the president, candidate for re-election, who visited the North-South Railway in Anápolis on Tuesday (12); before the inauguration, scheduled for 18:30 pm, there will be a walk with women from the parties that support Dilma's re-election, starting at 16:30 pm from Praça Joaquim Lúcio, in Campinas; the mayors of Aparecida, Maguito Vilela (PMDB), and Goiânia, Paulo Garcia (PT), as well as federal deputy Jovair Arantes (PTB), are expected at the event.

The campaign committee for the re-election of President Dilma Rousseff in Goiás will be inaugurated today, starting at 18:30 PM, in Goiânia. The headquarters are located on Avenida Anhanguera, opposite Lago das Rosas and Teatro Inacabado. This information was provided by former state deputy and general coordinator of the campaign in the state for the Workers' Party leader, physician Valdi Camarcio Bezerra (PT).
The event will begin earlier, at 16:30 PM, with a "Lilac Walk" from Joaquim Lúcio Square to the location. Furthermore, women from the coalition that brings together nine political parties – PT, PMDB, PDT, PCdoB, Pros, PSD, PP, PR, and PRB – will hold a flag-waving demonstration at 17:30 PM. "It's the kick-off for the demonstrations in defense of Dilma Rousseff's re-election and her project to continue changing Brazil," she notes.
The vice-president of the National Federation of Mayors, Maguito Vilela (PMDB party), mayor of Aparecida de Goiânia, is expected to participate in the event. The mayor of the capital city, Paulo Garcia, has reportedly confirmed his attendance, as has the mayor of Anápolis, João Gomes (PT). Also present will be Divino Alexandre, mayor of Panamá and president of the Goiana Federation of Municipalities.
The PTB, which formally forms part of the coalition led by Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG) in Goiás, will support the power project of former political prisoner and former member of the Revolutionary Armed Vanguard – Palmares, economist Dilma Rousseff. Federal deputy Jovair Arantes, president of the labor party in the state, is expected at the political and electoral event.
Valdi Camarcio Bezerra points out that Dilma Rousseff maintained economic stability despite the international crisis that hit Europe and the United States, controlled inflation, kept the dollar from rising, increased the percentage of formal jobs, increased the number of beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família program, and lifted 17 million people out of extreme poverty.
Thirty-two million Brazilians have joined the middle class.
Race
The aide to the Presidential Palace believes that the President of the Republic, who leads the race for the Planalto Palace, as indicated by public opinion polls released by the Ibope and Sensus institutes, could win the election in the first round. "It's difficult, but we will work to ensure she obtains a significant vote in the Central-West Region, and in particular, in Goiás," he emphasizes.
