PSD is confident that João Henrique's accounts will be rejected.
"The opinion of the Municipal Accounts Court (TCM) is clear when it points out the non-compliance with constitutional indices. And we all know that the Fiscal Responsibility Law (LRF) must be complied with. Therefore, we councilors cannot vote in favor," says the leader of the PSD, councilor Duda Sanches, regarding the 2010 fiscal year accounts of former mayor João Henrique (PP); according to Duda's calculations, "at most" 12 of the 43 parliamentarians should vote against the opinion of the Municipal Accounts Court (TCM).

The leader of the PSD in the City Council, councilman Duda Sanches, reiterates that he is confident in the rejection of the 2010 financial report of the Salvador City Hall, under the administration of João Henrique (PP), which is scheduled to be voted on this afternoon in the plenary of the People's House.
According to Duda's calculations, "at most" 12 of the 43 parliamentarians are expected to vote against the rejection of the accounts prepared by the Municipal Accounts Court (TCM).
According to him, the PSD's decision was made "out of respect not only for the people of Salvador who have suffered and continue to suffer so much due to the poor administration of the former mayor," but also in accordance with the unanimous assessment of the Court of Accounts of the Municipalities (TCM).
"The opinion of the Court of Accounts is clear when it points out the non-compliance with constitutional indices. And we all know that the Fiscal Responsibility Law (LRF) must be complied with. Therefore, we councilors cannot vote in favor."
Duda further states that the City Council can no longer postpone reviewing the accounts of the worst mayor Salvador has ever had and one of the worst in Brazil, according to popular opinion.
João Henrique's 2009 accounts were rejected by the Court of Auditors of the State of Bahia (TCM) and the City Council, and he is considered ineligible for office for eight years. He claims, however, that he is eligible for elected positions and assures that he will be a candidate for Governor of Bahia in 2014.
