Chinese President responds to letter from students at a bilingual school in Hungary.

Both China and Hungary have long histories and rich cultures. The peoples of the two countries share a long-standing friendship and frequent cultural exchanges.

China Radio International Chinese President Xi Jinping recently responded to a letter from students at a Hungarian-Chinese bilingual school in Hungary, encouraging them to learn more about China and to be ambassadors for the friendly relationship between the two countries.

“My wife and I were delighted to receive your letter during the Spring Festival of the Year of the Rabbit. I also remember meeting the teachers and students when I visited the school in 2009. I hope you will persevere in learning the Chinese language and contribute to the friendship between our two nations,” wrote Xi Jinping.

"You are welcome in Chinese universities after completing secondary school, and I hope that more young Hungarians will enjoy learning the Chinese language, visiting China, and learning about its history and modern-day China," Xi Jinping noted. 

Established in September 2004, the Hungarian-Chinese bilingual school is the only full-time school in Central and Eastern Europe that uses both languages ​​in its teaching.
