City Hall launches “Maceió, Sustainable City”

According to the publication, registrations can be made at the headquarters of the Municipal Secretariat for Environmental Protection, located in the Bebedouro neighborhood.
An evaluation committee, composed of city hall employees, will be formed to assess the approved applications.
Projects must fall within the research areas of natural resource management for ecosystem conservation, environmental legislation, water resource management, sustainable innovation in civil construction, environmental comfort, climate change and cities, renewable energies and sustainable development, waste management, effluent management, environmental risk analysis, environmental impact assessment, environmental liability management, and environmental education.
The selection phase takes place between October 7th and November 1st. Following this, the committee will select 10 projects for the final stage, taking into account whether the theme is relevant to the municipality; the project's applicability to the city of Maceió (in the short, medium, or long term), including a timeline; the project's technical and economic viability; the level of innovation; and the level of social integration.
The classification period takes place between November 9th and 11th. The 10 classified projects will receive scores and will be ranked from first to tenth place. The final result will be published on November 18th. Whether in the student or professional category, the first place winner will receive R$ 7,000, the second R$ 5,000, and the third R$ 3,000 (all will have their projects published). From fourth to tenth place, the prize is the publication of their projects.
