City government begins improvements to bus stops in Taquaralto.

Tocantins 247 – The City Hall of Palmas is carrying out improvements to public transport stations in the capital. Mayor Carlos Amastha (PP) visited the Javaé Station, located in the Taquaralto area, in the southern sector of the capital, this Thursday, the 13th.

The station is receiving new trash cans, sidewalks for accessibility, two wheelchair access ramps, new stickers with routes and schedules, and painting of its entire metal structure and floor.

Public transport users in the capital will have four portable toilets with tents available along the station, installed on an experimental basis. Outside the boarding station, a drain has been installed in the sewage system, and the landscaping has been updated with the planting of saplings of ipê trees, coconut palms, jaboticaba trees, and grass. The access road to the Arca parking lot, at the back of the station, has undergone pothole repair throughout its asphalt surface.

According to the city hall, Carlos Amastha, accompanied by the Secretary of Infrastructure and Public Services (Seisp), Marcílio Ávila, toured the entire station and spoke with the public. "We are carrying out maintenance work with some improvements for public transport users," he emphasized.

The Secretary of Seisp emphasized that the improvements will benefit the entire southern region. "To prevent rainwater from flooding the station floor during periods of heavy rain, a rainwater retention wall will be built this week at the edge of the sidewalk at the rear of the station," he concluded.

New buses. In addition to improvements at Javaé Station, a prototype for expansion to other stations in the capital, the population of the southern region of the capital and other regions should also benefit from the arrival of 40 new buses, all with air conditioning, in the fleet of companies that operate public passenger transport.
