City hall creates five new departments.
A decree issued by the City Hall of Maceió reorganizes the municipal administrative structure; five new secretariats were created and only one, from the old structure, was eliminated.
Alagoas247 - The Official Gazette of the Municipality published, this Friday (27), the sanction of the Delegated Law that reorganizes the administrative structure of the bodies and entities of the direct and indirect public administration that make up the Executive Branch of Maceió. Among the changes, there is the creation of five new secretariats and the extinction of one already existing one.
According to the publication, the Municipal Secretariats of Urban Control (Senconurb), Culture (Semcult), Human Rights (SEMDH), Public Services (Semsp), and Transportation and Traffic (SMTT) were created. The Municipal Secretariat of Internal Control ceases to exist and will now function as the General Comptroller's Office of the Municipality.
With the changes, the Municipal Superintendency of Urban Control and Coexistence (SMCCU), the Municipal Foundation for Cultural Action (FMAC), the Superintendency of Urban Cleaning of Maceió (Slum), and the Municipal Superintendency of Transport and Traffic (SMTT) will also be abolished.
All bodies and entities that are created, merged, transformed, modified, or renamed will inherit the assets, budget allocations, funds, ongoing programs and actions, as well as the staff, and the management of contracts, agreements, and other pacts in execution of the bodies and entities that succeeded them.
The reassignment of permanent civil servants from these agencies must be carried out within 180 days, starting from August 1st, when the law comes into effect.
