Sergipe 247 - The City Hall of Aracaju sent, this Thursday (31), the draft of the Pluriannual Plan (PPA) 2018-2021 to the City Council. Complying with the deadline established in the legislation, Mayor Edvaldo Nogueira signed the final version of the proposal, which will now be subject to analysis and voting by the municipal parliament. The PPA, according to the municipal manager, is the result of studies carried out by the current administration in the elaboration of the Strategic Planning of the capital.

“We are sending the Aracaju City Hall's Multi-Year Plan (PPA) to the City Council within the legal deadline. This plan reflects our Strategic Planning. We did a great job, discussed it with the community, and built a plan within the city hall that is divided into three stages, with well-defined goals, for the reconstruction and resumption of Aracaju's development,” stated the mayor.

He highlighted that the first period, which comprised the initial six months of 2017, was dedicated to assessing the city's situation and addressing the problems left by the previous administration. Now, Edvaldo continued, the administration is in the second phase, called the "Year of Reconstruction," focused on resuming services. After that, the final two and a half years will focus on realizing the project of making Aracaju a smart, humane, and creative city, the mayor explained.

“The PPA establishes the central elements for the next four years. It is not a fictional document. It is not just an intention; it is the result of concrete and realistic work that will make it possible to rebuild our city and make it once again the capital of quality of life in the country,” reinforced Edvaldo, who praised the work developed by the Secretariat of Planning, Budget and Management, the Secretariat of Finance, and all the managers involved in the construction of the Strategic Plan.

The Multi-Year Plan (PPA) focuses on the set of programs for four years, the Annual Budget Law (LOA) is linked to the allocation of resources for the execution of projects, and the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO) deals with the annual prioritization of programs and fiscal targets. The 2018 Budget Guidelines Bill (PLDO) was submitted to the Aracaju City Council on May 31, 2017.
