At the Ministry of Cities, Roberto Cláudio discussed the contracting of 2.800 new housing units under the Minha Casa Minha Vida (My House, My Life) program. At the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management, the mayor of Fortaleza discussed programs involving international financing, such as those contracted with the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) and CAF (Cape Verdean Development Bank). At the Ministry of Tourism, the new urbanization project for Morro de Santa Terezinha, in Mucuripe, was on the agenda.
Ceara 247 - Mayor Roberto Cláudio fulfilled his agenda this Wednesday, the 11th, in three ministries in Brasília, where he discussed projects of interest to the city of Fortaleza. At the Ministry of Cities, where he participated in a meeting with Minister Gilberto Kassab alongside Governor Camilo Santana, Roberto Cláudio discussed the contracting of 2.800 new housing units under the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program, in addition to the BRT (exclusive bus corridor) that will connect the city center to BR 116.
At the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management, the mayor of Fortaleza had a meeting at the Secretariat of International Affairs (SEAIN) to discuss programs involving international financing, such as those contracted with the IDB and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). Among the projects underway and those expected to be released soon are eleven programs totaling US$927,7 million, almost R$3 billion, including Drenurb, Cidade com Futuro, Proredes, the Infrastructure Program in Education and Sanitation, and the Fortaleza Sustentável Program.
At the Ministry of Tourism, the mayor of Fortaleza participated in a technical meeting, accompanied by secretaries Samuel Dias (Infrastructure) and Elpídio Nogueira (Tourism), where the new urbanization project for Morro de Santa Terezinha, in Mucuripe, was discussed.
"We are seeking to strengthen the discussions here in the ministries in Brasília because these are urgent projects that need to be made available to the population of Fortaleza as quickly as possible. And we are very impressed with the attention that the Federal Government has been giving to Fortaleza," stated Roberto Cláudio.
