Mayor Roberto Cláudio appoints new Secretariat.
“We have a great challenge ahead of us, which is to make Fortaleza a more competitive city,” said Mayor Roberto Cláudio (PDT), during the inauguration of the new secretaries, this Monday (2). He took the opportunity to announce, for the first time, a new project, the “City Hall in the Neighborhoods”, and informed that the measures to control spending will be announced this Tuesday (3). Check out the names that make up the new secretariat.
Ceará247 - Re-elected mayor Roberto Cláudio and deputy mayor Moroni Torgan swore in the new Secretariat, this Monday (2), in a ceremony in the gardens of the Municipal Palace. The new government will have changes in most of the Secretariat, with emphasis on the technical profile in its composition.
"The spending control measures will be announced tomorrow (3) at the meeting with the councilors. We have a great challenge ahead, which is to make Fortaleza a more competitive city," said the Mayor. According to the municipal manager, "it takes a lot of work capacity, a lot of sensitivity, that the secretaries can understand and feel the pain of the simplest people, that they are intolerant of moral errors, and can be indignant about social injustices." He took the opportunity to announce, for the first time, a new project, "City Hall in the Neighborhoods," in which once a month a neighborhood will be chosen, where the City Hall headquarters will be installed and the Mayor, together with the secretaries, will receive the demands directly from the people.
The most important changes are happening in the Health Department, which will be headed by Joana Angélica Paiva Maciel; the Infrastructure Department, with Manuela Nogueira; the Education Department, which will be headed by Dalila Saldanha de Freitas; and the Culture Department, with Evaldo Lima. Samuel Dias moves from Infrastructure to become Secretary of Government.
For the newly appointed Secretary of Government, Samuel Dias, it is a great honor and privilege to receive this invitation from the Mayor. "It changes the way we work a little, but it's all about management. We always try to work together with the other departments. The expectation is to maintain investments and increase the level of work," he projected.
Another new development is the merger of departments, giving rise to the Secretariats of Social Development, Human Rights and Combating Hunger, which will be headed by Elpídio Nogueira; and Economic Development and Labor, managed by Mosiah de Caldas Torgan.
The new head of the Education Department, Dalila Saldanha, believes in ongoing dialogue with teachers and coordinators. "It's already shaping up to be a successful project with the increase in enrollments in daycare centers and schools. We will continue this work, improving indicators with a focus on children's literacy," she emphasized.
