From the CT Portal - The mayor of Oliveira de Fátima, Gesiel dos Santos (PMDB), denied on Wednesday, the 13th, the information passed on by the press office of the coalition “Experience Makes the Change”, which placed the mayor as a participant in the launch of the Palmas campaign committee and a supporter of the group's candidate. “I have never been to the location,” said Gesiel.

Gesiel Oliveira informed CT who was not at the inauguration of the central committee in Palmas, located in block 103 North. "I've never been there. Not at all," declared the mayor, who also said that he supports his fellow party member running for reelection, Júnior Coimbra, also a former president of the party. "I'm with Júnior Coimbra. He decided to support Sandoval and I'm with him," he declared.

Finally, the mayor of Oliveira de Fátima assessed Sandoval Cardoso. “I support Sandoval. I think Sandoval is the best option for the state today. I believe there's a new chapter ahead,” said Gesiel Oliveira.

Junior Coimbra
After the internal crisis that led to national intervention in the PMDB of Tocantins and the threat of being expelled from the party, federal deputy Júnior Coimbra managed to secure a party nomination to attempt re-election. However, he was caught in two photos with Governor Sandoval Cardoso, one in Araguacema and the other in Paranã, at the end of July.

At the time, the congressman argued that the party authorized him to support whichever candidate he wished. “I am free from my party's authority to support whichever candidate I want. If you see me in other photos with the governor, don't be surprised,” said Coimbra, who also highlighted that he was prevented from appearing on the party's campaign platform by the regional president of the PMDB, Senator Kátia Abreu: “I would very much like to support my party, but they don't want me to.”
