      Mayor denies million-dollar New Year's Eve party fees.

      On his Instagram profile, Mayor ACM Neto denied on Wednesday the figures released by an alleged city hall employee regarding the fees for artists performing at the Salvador 2017 New Year's Eve celebration; the highest fee was supposedly that of Ivete Sangalo, allegedly R$ 2,1 million; ACM says that "the information is criminal" and "malicious," and attributes "the rumors" to "political adversaries"; "THE TRUTH, my people, is that all the attractions will be paid for by private initiative. That is: not a single cent will come out of the municipal coffers. Be careful with these rumors that arise in an election year! This is dirty tricks, from people bothered by the success of the city and our New Year's Eve celebration. It's the work of people who are working against Salvador," said ACM Neto.

      Bahia 247 - On his Instagram profile, Mayor ACM Neto (DEM) denied this Wednesday (29) the figures released by an alleged city hall employee regarding the fees of the artists who will perform at the Salvador New Year's Eve 2017. 

      The amounts would be R$ 2 million for Ivete Sangalo; R$ 1,5 million for Wesley Safadão; R$ 1,3 million for Bell Marques; R$ 1,2 million for Aviões do Forró; R$ 900 for Daniela Mercury; R$ 800 for Psirico; R$ 750 for Cláudia Leitte; R$ 600 for Anitta and R$ 550 for Luan Santana.

      ACM Neto says that "the information is criminal" and "malicious." "Today I received a message on WhatsApp that, in addition to being a LIE, is malicious and was certainly created for political purposes by desperate adversaries," said the Democrat with the hashtag #sharethetruth.

      The mayor also mentions the fact that the text states that the city hall will be responsible for the costs. "The TRUTH, folks, is that all the attractions will be paid for by private initiative. In other words: not a single cent will come out of the municipal coffers. Be careful with these rumors that arise in an election year! This is dirty tricks, from people bothered by the success of the city and our New Year's Eve celebrations. It's the work of people who are working against Salvador!", said ACM Neto.

      Despite vehemently denying the reported figures, the mayor did not disclose the artists' actual fees.
