PE247 – Recife will enter a State of Alert next Thursday (21). The measure, which will be implemented via a decree signed by Mayor João da Costa, will occur due to the increase in rainfall levels recorded in recent days in the capital of Pernambuco. The announcement and details of the services related to preventing the effects caused by the rains will be made at 14:30 pm, at the City Hall headquarters.

This will be the second time Recife has been placed on alert during Mayor João da Costa's administration. Last year, the measure was taken after rainfall levels were recorded above the annual average. On that occasion, the city suffered from landslides, resulting in deaths, and flooding in several streets and avenues.
