The state president of the PTB party, Jovair Arantes, reiterated his support for establishing criteria for choosing the second Senate candidate on the allied base's ticket; "We understand that no one has a guaranteed place on the ticket and we want criteria to define the composition of the ticket by the deadline for conventions, August 5th," Jovair pointed out; the PTB member said that the pre-candidacy of Public Prosecutor Demóstenes Torres is legitimate and is on the table; "Demóstenes has legislative experience, is loyal and highly qualified for the Senate race," he emphasized.

Jovial also criticized the behavior of Senator Lúcia Vânia (PSB). "Her style is not consistent with the democratic process," said the PTB member.
"She needs to go inside, come to the factory floor, convince people that she is the best candidate, and have humility," said Jovair, underlining the dissatisfaction of the parties in the government coalition with the senator.
