Raphael Coutinho _PE247 – Members of the Workers' Party who have outstanding debts and wish to participate in the party primaries to choose the representative who will run for Mayor of Recife have until this Saturday (5) to settle the debt individually. The amount is R$ 15, relating to the year 2011, and can be paid until 21 pm at the municipal headquarters. According to the party, more than 15 members are in this situation.

The task on both sides now is to secure as many supporters as possible. This requires intense persuasion efforts to get activists to make payments. One of the campaign coordinators for Mayor João da Costa, one of the candidates, states that by this Saturday, the team estimates that ten thousand individuals linked to the current mayor will have already settled their debts.

Meanwhile, the team of the other candidate, the state Secretary of Government, Maurício Rands, preferred not to speculate on the number of his supporters who will be fully paid up.
