Hundreds of roadblocks were set up at strategic points throughout the state, with vehicles and people acting suspiciously being stopped.
According to the general commander of the Military Police, Colonel Divino Alves, the actions will focus on combating crimes against life, property, and drug trafficking. "We want to further reduce crime rates. Our personnel are fully committed to removing criminals from the streets and preventing new crimes from being committed," he states.
The Secretary of Public Security and Penitentiary Administration (SSPAP), Edson Costa, requested the full commitment of the corporation so that the state maintains the strong downward trend in all violence indicators.
"We are working even more intensively to preserve lives and ensure an ever-increasing sense of security for the population," explains Divino Alves.
For the operation, the PM's personnel were divided into periods planned by the general command, following the georeferencing of the Security Observatory Management of the Secretariat of Public Security and Penitentiary Administration (SSPAP).
All special forces of the Military Police are participating in the operation, such as the Air Patrol Group (GRAer), Metropolitan Tactical Patrols (Rotam), Military Police Shock Battalion (BPM Choque), Military Highway Police Battalion (BPMRv), Military Environmental Police Battalion (BPMAmb), Special Police Operations Battalion (Bope) and Cavalry.

In the crime report for January of this year, all 12 monitored crime indicators showed a decrease in Goiás, a fact not recorded since 2011, when the monitoring methodology was established. In the state, homicides decreased by 21,2%, and in the capital, the decline was 50%.
Rapes in the state fell by 29,6%. Attempted homicides decreased by 33,3%, while robberies resulting in death plummeted by 52,9%. According to the data, there was also a decrease in all types of theft and robbery.
Vehicle thefts fell by 39,3%, robberies in businesses (-40,3%), robberies in residences (-41,7%), and robberies of pedestrians (-23,6%). Vehicle burglaries decreased by 32%, and burglaries in businesses (-20,3%). Burglaries in residences and burglaries of pedestrians decreased by 2% and 19,8%, respectively.
