Police establish productivity targets for police stations.
The Civil Police Council of Alagoas issued a Normative Instruction establishing monthly productivity targets for police stations in Alagoas; the instruction must be applied in all districts, with the exception of the General Police Inspectorate, the General Directorate, and units that work exclusively on a shift system; non-compliance will result in punishment.
Alagoas 247 - A Normative Instruction issued by the Civil Police Council, in Tuesday's edition of the State Official Gazette, establishes monthly productivity targets for police stations in Alagoas.
According to the Civil Police press office, the proposal aims to value and encourage the performance of police officers.
According to the publication, the instruction was unanimously approved by the Council members and should be applied in all districts, with the exception of the General Police Inspectorate, the General Directorate, and units that work exclusively on a shift system.
According to the document, the General Police Inspectorate will extract a spreadsheet monthly from the police information system with the established goals, based on the number of completed procedures listed, from the first day to the last day of the same month.
The following will serve as parameters for the goal: police investigation or social inquiry resulting from flagrant offense, police investigation or social inquiry resulting from a closed order with authorship identified, police investigation or social inquiry resulting from a closed order without authorship identified, Circumstantial Occurrence Report (TCO) and Circumstantial Occurrence Report (BOC), Execution of an arrest warrant for a defendant at large, Execution of a search and seizure warrant, and Execution of a request from the Public Prosecutor's Office or the Judiciary.
In police stations with more than one officer, the target should be equally divided among the respective police authorities and their teams. The target will be valid for a period of three months. After this period, it should be reassessed.
Unjustified non-compliance with the Normative Instruction will result in disciplinary action, and the Chief of Police and the Inspector General of the Civil Police must report the measures taken to the State Public Security Council.
