Police seize 45 minors in a nightclub in Minas Gerais.

Mines 247 - Following an anonymous tip, police arrived at a nightclub in Ribeirão das Neves, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. There, officers found 45 teenagers. They were apprehended and taken to the Child and Adolescent Police Station. Another 13 people were also taken to the police station.
According to the civil police, the operations aim to verify the safety conditions and documentation of bars and nightclubs. The stricter inspections are a result of the tragedy that killed more than 230 young people in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, after the Kiss nightclub caught fire last weekend.
In the operation this Friday, the 1st, two nightclubs were inspected. One of them was closed and the second, despite having all the documentation required by the city hall, was receiving minors under 18 years of age, which is prohibited by law, since it is a place that sells alcoholic beverages.
Therefore, the owner and a security guard were cited, and the Public Prosecutor's Office will open a case so that the establishment pays a fine, as determined by the Statute of the Child and Adolescent. The legislation provides for a fine, which can range from 3 to 20 minimum wages. In case of recurrence, the nightclub can be closed for up to 15 days.
