Alagoas247 - With no other option, the four military personnel who were on duty on Tuesday afternoon (10), at the Military Police Group (GPM) of Matriz de Camaragibe, had to use the private car of a sergeant from the shift team to patrol the municipality in search of four suspects who had just robbed the lottery house. The only vehicle of that military unit had a mechanical defect and is in Maceió for repair.

While explaining details of the robbery that occurred around 14:15 PM, one of the GPM police officers reported that the team had to go out on patrol in the city, but since they didn't have a patrol car, they only thought of the sergeant's private vehicle after agents from the Matriz de Camaragibe Regional Police Station contacted them informing them of the crime.

“The GPM vehicle is new, but because the service is demanding, it has already presented problems and had to be taken to Maceió. The guy [from the workshop] guaranteed that he would deliver it to us tomorrow [this Wednesday]. Unfortunately, this robbery happened precisely when we were without the vehicle. We had to use the sergeant's personal car, which was made available,” lamented the police officer.

According to the military official, the vehicle arrived in Maceió on Tuesday morning and was scheduled to return the same day, but the mechanical problem was more complicated to resolve, and the delivery deadline was extended.

The robbery at the lottery shop located in Praça Bom Jesus, in the center of Matriz, was carried out by four men. According to information from the GPM (Military Police Group), three of them, armed with revolvers, entered the establishment, subdued the two employees, and took all the money from the cash register where they were. There were several customers waiting in line to pay their bills, but they all ran away.

Images from the lottery shop's internal security system recorded the criminals' actions. Police officers from the Military Police Group (GPM) have already seen and been able to identify the bandits' faces. The recording will be handed over to the Civil Police, who will be responsible for investigating the robbery. Witnesses said that one of the criminals was waiting for the others inside a silver Polo Sedan, which the gang used for their escape.
