Police increase personnel and street operations for the end of the year.

Goiás247 - Governor Marconi Perillo delivered 536 computers and six winches to the Military Police on Friday, the 29th, during the graduation ceremonies of the First Police Explosives Technician Course; the completion of the theoretical stage of the course for 500 police officers of the State Voluntary Military Service (Simve); as well as honoring students from the Military College who achieved second place in the International Mathematics Olympiad held in India and the schools that had good results in the ENEM (National High School Exam). The event took place at the PM Academy. The "Happy Holidays Operation" was also launched.

The general commander of the Military Police, Colonel Sílvio Benedito Alves, informed that during this end-of-year period, R$ 5 million will be invested in extra-remunerated service. According to the colonel, in addition to Operation Happy Holidays, the Military Police will carry out a new type of policing at bus terminals starting this month. “We will place Military Police officers in pairs entering and exiting buses on the larger platforms, in uniform, and observing what is happening inside the buses,” he pointed out.

All these actions aim to combat crime and provide greater security for the population. With the increase in military police personnel, the Command believes there will be a significant reduction in violence rates throughout the state. Investment is also being made in infrastructure. The computers delivered this Friday will be used by police officers throughout the state. And the tow trucks will be used primarily in traffic operations (roadblocks). There will be four tow trucks for the capital and two for the Goiânia Metropolitan Region.
