With each passing day, Piauí Conectado, the state government's digital inclusion program responsible for bringing free internet to public spaces through the Information Technology Agency (ATI-PI), gains more and more users. The month of July broke the record for connections, according to monitoring carried out by the ATI technical team, surpassing 100 monthly accesses, totaling 109.310 people from Piauí connected.

The project's reach becomes evident when comparing the total number of monthly connections month by month. The first 30 days of monitoring reveal that 72.801 people used the state's free Wi-Fi during May. In June, Piauí Conectado grew exponentially, reaching almost 100 connections and a total of 98.398 users.

The Piauí Conectado program currently includes 12 points with free internet access in Teresina, of which only two have been officially inaugurated: Praça da Vila Operária and Praça da Bandeira, in the city center. The other ten points are Praça do Gari, Praça da Vermelha, Praça do Renascença II, Praça do Bela Vista, Praça Madre Savina, Praça Emílio Falcão, Central de Artesanato Mestre Dezinho, Rodoviária Popular, Centro Administrativo, and Potycabana.

Pedro II Square
Another new development is that Praça Pedro II, located in the heart of Teresina, is the latest spot in the capital to receive this service, making it the thirteenth public space with free Wi-Fi. Adding this to the Central de Artesanato Mestre Dezinho, access is expected to continue increasing in August due to the high daily traffic at these two locations.

Little corrals
The Lagoa Nova settlement, located 10 kilometers from the municipality of Curralinhos, also has the Piauí Conectado program and in June was among the five most accessed points, competing with large spaces in Teresina such as the Administrative Center, Potycabana and Praça da Bandeira, respectively the first, second and third points with the highest number of users of the program.
