Goiás 247 - Governor Marconi Perillo participated this Monday in a PSDB meeting in the city of Poços de Caldas (MG). The event, which featured declarations of support from Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Geraldo Alckmin for the presidential candidacy, brought together several leaders of the PSDB party.

Perillo is one of Aécio's supporters in the presidential election and will receive the senator from Minas Gerais in Goiânia next Friday. "The moment has come, Aécio, to assume responsibility. History, in its impetuosity, selects. I don't know if it's fair or unfair. It's the moment, and the moment is yours," said FHC.

The meeting commemorated the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Poços de Caldas Declaration, a document that launched the historic Diretas Já movement exactly 30 years ago, whose main leaders were Tancredo Neves from Minas Gerais and Ulysses Guimarães and Franco Montoro from São Paulo.

The event reaffirmed the PSDB's commitment to the principles of sovereignty, citizenship, dignity, and pluralism of the Brazilian Federation. The speeches highlighted the unanimous support for presidential candidate Aécio Neves.
