Goiás247_ The paving of a 58,5-kilometer stretch of GO-461, connecting Doverlândia to the junction with GO-194 in the municipality of Portelândia, was authorized by Governor Marconi Perillo. The announcement was made during the signing of service orders, in a ceremony held in front of the Doverlândia City Hall.

The section to be paved will complement the paving of GO-461, which is being carried out by the state government, connecting Mineiros to Portelândia. Once both stages are completed – from Mineiros to Portelândia and from Doverlândia to Portelândia – the municipality of Doverlândia will become the most important junction between the cities of Aragarças and Mineiros. "This will be a great step towards integrating this part of the Southwest region with the main producing markets of Goiás and Mato Grosso," celebrated the governor.

The machines that will work on paving the stretch authorized by the governor at the ceremony on Wednesday (18) are already in Doverlândia. The works will begin on Monday. Just to pave the 58,5 kilometers, the State is investing more than R$ 60 million.

At the same event, Marconi announced that the reconstruction of the pavement on the highway linking Doverlândia to Caiapônia will be carried out at the beginning of next year. He also pledged to Mayor Roberto Salomão (PTN) to help the municipality with urban paving and resurfacing projects.

During the ceremony, which brought together more than a thousand people, he also signed a service order instructing Saneago – using its own resources – to immediately begin the works and services for the implementation of the municipality's sewage system. At a cost of R$ 12,8 million, Saneago will carry out 2.364 household connections, 47,4 meters of sewage collection networks, a sewage pumping station, pressure lines, 629 meters of outfall pipe, and a sewage treatment plant.

Alongside federal deputies Heuler Cruvinel and Leonardo Vilela, Secretary Mauro Faiad (Science and Technology), and the Secretary of the Civil House, Vilmar Rocha, the governor handed over the keys to an ambulance, donated by OVG, to the municipality. “Doverlândia,” said Mayor Roberto Salomão in his speech, “has never received so many projects from a governor. Governor Marconi Perillo has helped us a great deal. We have received total support from OVG and exemplary attention from the governor and his secretaries.”

In turn, Marconi said he was in Doverlândia to bring benefits “and not to make political speeches.” Affirming that he was “fulfilling his commitments,” he recalled that just to rebuild almost six thousand kilometers of highways and pave another two thousand new highways, the State is investing more than R$ 4,5 billion. “This is only possible with a planned government, with good management. All the works we are carrying out were programmed and are only happening because we got our house in order and secured the resources. We only announce and start works with guaranteed funding,” he noted.

The governor concluded his afternoon visits to the Southwest region of the state in Caiapônia, where he delivered certificates of completion for the Bolsa Futuro program and signed service orders. Received by Mayor Argemiro Rodrigues (PMDB), Marconi handed over the keys to an ambulance and authorized the construction, through Agehab, of 40 housing units under the Cheque Mais Moradia and Sub50/2 programs, with resources from the State and Federal governments, totaling R$ 1,2 million.

Responding to Mayor Argemiro's request, he authorized the immediate commencement of construction and paving works on the runway, the installation of the passenger terminal, guardhouse, field, and fence for the Caiapônia airport. A total of R$ 4,4 million will be invested in the works.

In his welcoming speech to the governor, the mayor, a member of the PMDB party, praised Marconi "for the special attention he has given to Caiapônia." He said that the ambulance he was receiving had been requested the previous week. "I was at the OVG last week and submitted the request for the ambulance. The response was immediate. The same thing happened with the airport. You, Governor Marconi, attended to us promptly," he declared.

In closing, Argemiro Rodrigues highlighted Marconi's republican style of governing. "I am a witness that Governor Marconi Perillo doesn't think about party politics, but about the people. I must publicly register my praise for this magnanimous attitude of his."

In congratulating the graduates of the Bolsa Futuro program, the governor gave the mayor more good news. He said that "depending on the government's matching funds, Caiapônia can count on an additional 200 housing units, in addition to the 40 authorized today."
