Pernambuco will have R$ 603 million in projects for 2017.

Pernambuco managed to attract R$ 1,8 billion in investment this year through a reduction in ICMS (Value-Added Tax), granted through the Pernambuco State Development Program (Prodepe); this amount is three times greater than the revenue generated last year. The revenue already includes the more than R$ 603 million in investment from industrial projects approved at the last meeting of the year of the State Council for Industrial, Commercial and Service Policy (Condic), chaired by the Secretary of Economic Development of Pernambuco, Thiago Norões. In total, 39 new projects will receive incentives for the installation or expansion of production capacity in the state starting next year and will generate 1.559 jobs.
