The Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB) wants to keep Roberto Cláudio's running mate.
A member of Roberto Cláudio's (PDT) allied base, the PCdoB is eyeing the vice-mayor position in Fortaleza, where he is seeking re-election this year. According to the party's state president, Luis Carlos Paes, federal deputy Chico Lopes and city councilman Evaldo Lima are viable candidates for the position.
Ceará247 - With the PT's decision to back the candidacy of federal deputy Luizianne Lins (PT), the PCdoB is eyeing the vice-presidential spot on Roberto Cláudio's (PDT) ticket, who is running for re-election as Mayor of Fortaleza this year. The state president of the party, Luís Carlos Paes, warned that the party has been loyal to the municipal administration and that it cooperates with the progress through its secretaries. "If Mayor Roberto Cláudio's PDT really doesn't count on the PT, we will claim the vice-presidential spot," he said this Friday (25).
The PCdoB, which currently holds the Municipal Housing Secretariat, has as options, according to Paes, federal deputy Chico Lopes and the mayor's leader in the Chamber, Evaldo Lima. The president reinforces, however, that the party is committed to the reelection of Roberto Cláudio regardless of his position on the ticket.
