The Minister of Agrarian Development, Patrus Ananias, announced the allocation of R$ 4,4 billion in rural credit from the federal government to family farmers in Minas Gerais. According to the ministry, this represents a 57% increase compared to the previous harvest and is intended for the operating costs and investments of small rural properties in Minas Gerais. The announcement was made during the presentation of the 2015/2016 Family Farming Harvest Plan in the plenary of the state's Legislative Assembly in Belo Horizonte.
