According to Aécio Neves, Dilma lives in a "fantasy island".

A senator and pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic released a critical message regarding President Dilma Rousseff's end-of-year address, which aired on Sunday night. According to him, Dilma is once again "praising herself and campaigning" and, in her message, says "not a single word about the families affected by the rains and the promised but unfulfilled projects." The president of the PSDB party also mentions "inflation above the target" and "meager economic growth," and laments the fact that the opposition cannot request the right of reply. According to Dilma Rousseff, in 2014 Brazilians will have an even better life than they did in 2013, and she declared that "psychological warfare can inhibit investments."

Minas 247 – Senator and pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic for the PSDB party, Aécio Neves, declared this Monday, the 30th, that President Dilma Rousseff once again "praised herself and campaigned for electioneering" in her end-of-year message that aired on Sunday night on national radio and television.

The president of the PSDB party points out that, in her message, Dilma doesn't say "a single word about the families affected by the rains and the promised but unfulfilled projects." The PSDB member also mentions "inflation above the target center" and "meager economic growth," as well as a "security crisis" and a "crack epidemic that is destroying lives."

According to him, the president lives in a "fantasy island" where "the quality of education has improved and the creation of daycare centers is celebrated." In real life, however, he says, "the results of international tests demonstrate the opposite." According to Aécio, the "abusive" message demonstrates "a lack of limits from a government that believes that propaganda and illusionism can demonstrate strength."

Statement by Senator Aécio Neves regarding the President of the Republic's address on radio and television.

"Under the pretext of the end-of-year holidays, the president returns to TV to praise herself and campaign for re-election."

Unfortunately, the opposition cannot request the right of reply.

Not a word about the families affected by the rains and the promised but unfulfilled projects. No mention of the situation of public companies, inflation above the target center, or the meager economic growth. No mention of the state of the roads, the security crisis, or the crack epidemic that is destroying lives.

Just as an example, in the fantasy island to which the president has once again led us, the quality of education has improved and the creation of daycare centers is celebrated.

Meanwhile, in real-life Brazil, the results of international tests show the opposite: illiteracy has stopped falling, and of the 6 daycare centers she promised in 2010, only 120 had been delivered by October.

This new and abusive call for a radio and television broadcast is yet another demonstration of the lack of limits of a government that believes propaganda and illusion can demonstrate strength, while in reality they only accentuate its weakness.
