Palmas presents Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan
The City Hall of Palmas will present this Friday, the 17th, starting at 14:30 PM, to the Municipal Council of Accessibility, Mobility and Transportation (CMAMT) the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan; this document is mandatory for cities with more than 20 inhabitants, without it the municipalities will not be able to obtain resources from the Federal Government; the Palmas cycle path network, the public transport fare calculation and a new system will also be presented to the councilors, which, if approved by the council, will allow public transport users to access real-time bus departure and arrival times.
Tocantins 247 - With the goal of guiding the priorities for urban mobility in the capital, the City Hall of Palmas presents the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan to the public and the Municipal Council for Accessibility, Mobility and Transportation (CMAMT). The hearing will take place this Friday, the 17th, starting at 14:30 PM, in the auditorium of the Municipal Institute of Social Security of Palmas (Previpalmas).
The document is mandatory for cities with more than 20 inhabitants; without it, municipalities will not be able to obtain funding from the Federal Government from now on. However, failure to submit it does not affect the payment of agreements already signed.
The president of CMAMT and Secretary of Accessibility, Mobility, Traffic and Transportation, Christian Zini, will also present to the council members the cycle path network of Palmas, the fare calculation for public transport and a new system that, if approved by the council, will allow public transport users to access real-time bus departure and arrival times.
