The senator from Rio Grande do Sul, who was the rapporteur for the proposal in the Social Affairs Committee (CAS), read aloud in plenary the full text of the statement released in support of the Youth Statute, signed by more than 70 civil entities that highlight the qualities and advances of the legislation.
The Senate Agency - In a speech in the Plenary this Wednesday (10), Senator Paulo Paim (PT-RS) drew attention to the importance of the Youth Statute (PLC 98/2011) for the country. The proposal is due to be voted on in the Senate Plenary next Tuesday (16).
Paim, who was the rapporteur for the proposal in the Social Affairs Committee (CAS), read the full text of the statement released in support of the Youth Statute, signed by more than 70 civil entities that highlight the qualities and advances of the legislation.
Paim also mentioned a study conducted by the University of Brasília (UnB) and sent to the Ministry of Health regarding the growth of obesity in the country, including childhood obesity, and its consequences for the public health system, with increased expenses.
