247_ Mayor Paulo Garcia met on Tuesday morning, the 8th, with his new cabinet to define the strategies that will be adopted in each of the departments during this administration. Having received the government plan, the new secretaries defined the priorities for each department.
"The secretaries are in an adaptation period and have received guidelines on what should be prioritized. For example, in the Municipal Health Department, the top priority is dengue prevention. A specific objective has been set for each area," explained the Secretary of Government, Osmar Magalhães.
Magalhães tried to dispel rumors of PMDB dissatisfaction with the loss of influence within the administration: "We are a government composed entirely of the PT and the PMDB, which has been very supportive."
According to Magalhães, the renovation announced by the mayor is practically complete, with only a few details remaining to be finalized this week.
The meeting was restricted to the mayor's government team.
On Monday, the 7th, Paulo Garcia announced two new names to join the administrative team. Former state deputy for the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB), Francisco Bento da Silva, will assume the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism, and councilman for the Brazilian Republican Party (PRB), Rogério Cruz, will be in charge of the Municipal Secretariat of Personnel Management.
