Osvaldo Reis: 'Josi acted within the PMDB statute'
Former federal deputy Osvaldo Reis, a member of the PMDB's national board, said that federal deputy Josi Nunes "is absolutely right" to request, in writing, information about the appointment of 51 provisional party commissions in the state by the Minister of Agriculture, Kátia Abreu; "Josi is acting within the statutes," he stated; Reis strongly criticized Kátia: "The PMDB will not side with someone who is not a true PMDB member, someone who wants to negotiate the party and wants to own it, but with a true PMDB member."
Tocantins 247 - Former federal deputy Osvaldo Reis, a member of the PMDB's national board and of the intervention committee in the Tocantins state directory, said that federal deputy Josi Nunes "is absolutely right" to request, in writing, information about the appointment of 51 provisional party committees in the state by the Minister of Agriculture, Kátia Abreu. "Josi is acting within the statutes," Osvaldo stated.
According to Reis, the PMDB statute requires that members of provisional committees have at least one month of membership and those on the directorates, at least six months. "I found members of some provisional committees that Senator Kátia Abreu created who aren't even PMDB members. I can prove it. They may have joined later, but they weren't members before," said the parliamentarian. "Where there's smoke, there's fire."
The PMDB member also said that "one person cannot control three parties." He is referring to the fact that Katia presides over the PMDB's intervention commission; has her son, federal deputy Irajá Abreu, at the head of the PSD; and is working towards the creation of the PL.
"I don't know how to ask someone to join a party other than the PMDB," he remarked. "The PMDB will not keep anyone who isn't a true PMDB member, anyone who wants to negotiate the party and own it, but only a true PMDB member," he warned.
